First plein air

Today was my first plein air painting day. It was so much fun! Our teacher was such an inspiration and help. I like Gumpoldskirchen very much and it’s perfect for painting outside. Although I was very uncomfortable first after the larger parts were placed correctly I got a better feeling for perspective and composition. The most fun part was how people reacted who strolled along. Some asked, others made nice jokes. Overall it was interesting what happened during a day. We sat there from 9 to 4. I’m certainly going to paint that way again although I need much more practice with watercolour.

This was my view, the painting is not finished yet.
